Putting Investment into Staff Training
The right training, development and education, at the right time, provides benefits for both the company and its customers through improved quality, increased productivity and enhanced knowledge.
Jon Newman, Production Engineer at Celab, has recently completed the IPC-A610E CIT certification course and is now qualified to instruct individuals to CIS standard and advise on the use of the IPC-A-610 Issue E visual inspection standard. Jon has also recently completed training in SM rework techniques as approved by IPC.
Celab already utilise the Solidworks 3D design package and in September, Chris Louch (Systems Engineer) and Peter Hore (Cheif Mechanical Engineer) will be receiving training in advanced simulation covering mechanical and thermal finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
“Advanced simulation techniques will give us increased confidence at an earlier stage of the design process” says Peter Hore, Cheif Mechanical Engineer. “This will help in optimisation of complex, densely packaged designs and reduce risks to program timescales”.
