All 'power electronics' must be thermally managed and physically protected. High reliability can only be achieved through appropriate cooling, screening and physical stiffening/housing. Mechanical designs may range from simple multilayer PCBs to complex multilevel fabricated housings. Our mechanical engineering teams are experts in machined, castings and sheet metal designs. Our experience includes conduction, convection and liquid cooled power solutions using a variety of materials and surface finishes.
Our design tools, such as Solidworks, and our thermal and dynamics simulation package enable us to simulate the harshest of environments at the early stages of the design process. This aids in reducing 'down stream' costs and establishes confidence in our designs before the first prototypes are run.
